Welcome
Hi! I’m Randy Beck.
I’ve had an interesting path throughout my career, so let me tell you where I’ve been and then where I’m going.
Imagine a world where medical pumps are cutting-edge technology. That’s where my professional journey began. For over 16 years, I was privileged to contribute to an innovative company. As an IT Manager and Engineering Technician, I helped in the engineering and development of next-generation medical pumps and managed large projects to help the company move forward. My dedication and expertise led to a promotion to Director of Technology, where I continued to spearhead technological breakthroughs and oversee major projects, further enhancing the company’s success.
As I ventured further along my professional path, I embarked on an exciting new journey to gain my Bachelor’s in Technical Leadership. This decision stems from my deep-rooted commitment to leadership and my unending love for technology. It’s been a whirlwind of multi-tasking, but I thrive on the challenge. My academic pursuits led me to an early admission into a Master’s program for Instructional Design and Technology. This next step has allowed me to delve into the fascinating realm where education and technology intersect, exploring how we can harness technology to create truly impactful learning experiences.
While finishing my Bachelor’s degree, I seamlessly transitioned into a Product Development Specialist role. As I continue as a grad student, juggling a demanding career with the rigors of academia hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling. By day, I’m immersed in the exciting world of product development, where I apply the knowledge and skills I’ve gained throughout my career and studies to bring innovative ideas to life. And by night (or whenever I can squeeze in some study time), I’m hitting the books and delving deeper into the intricacies of instructional design.
This journey has given me a fantastic blend of hands-on experience and theoretical know-how that I bring to the table in everything I do, both in my professional endeavors and academic pursuits. It’s a packed schedule, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. It’s all part of the journey toward becoming the best leader and technologist I can be, and I’m excited to see how my experiences in both realms continue to shape my future endeavors. After all, every day is a new chapter, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
