During the Summer 2024 semester, I worked through an Introduction to Authoring (ITA) course. In this course, we gained an introduction to several authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline.

For my final Storyline project, I created a micro lesson called More Than Myths: How Greek Mythology Shapes Our World.

The requirements for this Storyline assignment included:

  • an introduction slide with a begin button
  • a prompt to gain the learners name
  • a navigation tutorial
  • a main menu
  • content slides
  • learner engagement methods (I used hotspots, tabs, and flip-cards)
  • transitions
  • at least two assessment items
  • a conclusion slide

I locked down the quiz so the learner would have to complete it once they began.

We had the opportunity to receive some extra credit for:

  • audio narration
  • completion marks in the main menu

Of course, I completed both extra credit items. It never hurts to do some extra work. From my point of view, it allowed me to gain some additional experience and those little experiences add up.
